My name is Salah Baker.
What I do, hard to explain really.
I used to work for Oceaneering International Inc.
Titles have been Curriculum Specialist, Video Specialist, ROV Videographer, Designer, Coordinator, and Technical Coordinator.
ROV
Not sure how I was a Coordinator, that’s for another discussion.
I made computers that record, very longform video’s, that ROV’s see at depths that no one wants to go. (they also do uncompressed)
Make the camera’s work for chosen workflow topside. (brand agnostic)
Edit really cool video that some may never see due to NDA, or you will see on many channels such as Discovery, NatGeo, News,… (list is long, going to stop here).
Its a cool and demanding task.

.look files in CineForm
August 8th, 2008Yesssssssssssss……. .look file support in CineForm for 4.2.2 data!!!
I did not have a database of look files, so I decided to export .looks from PProCS3 using the Color Fineness presets as a base.
I’ll have to start messing with ON Set in the future..

April 6th, 2008Been very busy. Sorry.
Got a bunch of new toys this month, one of my favorites (short my new 300, Hemi) of the weekend was a Canon 5-D with a Canon EF 50mm f/2.5 Compact Macro with the one to one adaptor.
I got the 5-D bundled with the 24/105 mm, which came off as soon as I saw the macro Glass.
Just scooting around in my yard learning to use the camera (who reads manuals) I got a few shots I liked.
Yeah , I think I’ll keep it..
LightRoom 2 Public Beta aint bad either…
